He takes the position that every Christian is granted one or more gifts upon being born-again, but only fully “unwraps” those gifts upon receiving the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. He emphasizes the importance of developing a personal relationship with and dependence on the Holy Spirit in order to exhibit the power-filled life that Jesus Christ had in his earthly ministry. As both an academic and a religious leader, this work constitutes an important contribution to the theological dialogue on this important theme.
