Praise for the 1994 edition:
“Overviews of other Canadian bands and artists… are included in this interesting book. Bryan Adams’ successes throughout the 1980s and 1990s are well documented… Duffett makes a point of praising Adams’ songwriting abilities… Overall, Duffett’s biography of the ‘Groover from Vancouver’ Bryan Adams is well written and a fine introduction to Adams’ career for most fans”. Paul Bezanker in The Record / CD/ Cassette Collectors’ Exchange, May 1995
“The book impresses with facts and figures. It also explores Adams’ ‘regular guy’ image”. Fonorama, June 1995
“Bryan Adams, A Fretted Biography is something that you don’t see very often… It also contains Canadian press information on the man that was previously unavailable in the UK”. Making Music, Feb 1995
