H. P. Lovecraft

H. P. Lovecraft was an American author born on August 20, 1890, in Providence, Rhode Island. He is considered one of the most influential horror writers of the 20th century. Lovecraft was raised by his mother and two aunts after his father was institutionalized for psychosis. He was a sickly child and spent much of his time reading and writing. Lovecraft's writing career began in 1917 when he started submitting stories to pulp magazines. His first published work was "The Alchemist" in 1916. Lovecraft's writing style was characterized by his use of cosmic horror, which involved the idea that the universe is indifferent to human existence and that there are ancient, malevolent beings that exist beyond human comprehension. Some of Lovecraft's most famous works include "The Call of Cthulhu," "The Dunwich Horror," and "The Shadow Over Innsmouth." These stories are part of what is known as the Cthulhu Mythos, a shared universe of horror stories that Lovecraft created. Lovecraft's work has influenced many other writ
