Arthur B. Reeve was an American author and screenwriter, born on October 15, 1880, in New York City. He was the son of a prominent physician and was educated at Princeton University, where he earned a degree in mechanical engineering. After graduation, Reeve worked as an engineer for several years before turning to writing.
Reeve is best known for his creation of the scientific detective Craig Kennedy, who appeared in numerous short stories and novels. Kennedy was a brilliant scientist and inventor who used his knowledge to solve crimes. Reeve's stories were popular in the early 20th century and helped to popularize the genre of scientific detective fiction.
In addition to his Craig Kennedy stories, Reeve wrote numerous other works, including mystery novels, adventure stories, and screenplays. He was also a prolific writer of non-fiction, with works on topics such as science, technology, and criminology.
